Dr. Sabine Maaßen - Personnel & Social Policy
Dr. Sabine Maaßen, born in Dinslaken in 1966, studied law at the universities of Mainz and Dijon before gaining her doctorate (Dr. jur.) at the University of Frankfurt.
After her legal traineeship Dr. Maaßen worked first as a lawyer and later with the legal protection unit of the trade union confederation DGB in Krefeld. In 2002 she moved to IG Metall, Duisburg-Dinslaken office, and in 2005 to the union’s executive committee in Frankfurt/Main where she was responsible for works constitution and company law. In 2008 she moved to the legal department, which she headed as chief counsel from 2013. Dr. Maaßen began working for thyssenkrupp in 2016 as CHRO of the business unit Marine Systems in the Industrial Solutions business area.
Since February 1, 2018 Dr. Maaßen has been CHRO on the Executive Board of thyssenkrupp Steel Europe AG responsible for personnel and social policy.
