Thermo-mechanically rolled, micro-alloyed fine-grain structural steels perform® for lifting and working platforms for special-purpose vehicles.

perform® from thyssenkrupp is a micro-alloyed steel which is thermo-mechanically rolled and available as uncoated wide hot strip and cut-to-length plate.

perform® steels are characterized by a very low levels of sulfur and a low carbon content, microalloying with niobium, vanadium, titanium as well as their combination.

New in our product portfolio: The highly ductile micro-alloyed fine-grained structural steel perform® HD. The highly ductile grades offer better formability and higher hole expansion values. Their special microstructure ensures stable mechanical properties (low scatter), the best prerequisite for high production reliability.

The combination of microalloying and the special thermo-mechanical rolling process gives perform® steels outstanding cold formability and weldability. The extremely fine-grain microstructure additionally results in very good toughness levels with a low risk of cold cracking. thyssenkrupp supplies micro-alloyed fine-grain structural steels for cold forming in various yield strengths from 300 to 1100 MPa.

Thermo-mechanically rolled, micro-alloyed fine-grain structural steels perform® are primarily used for complex part geometries in car chassis, like axle structures and wheel suspensions, axle beams, transverse and trailing arms as well as special profiles and shaped parts. In truck manufacturing perform® steels are ideal suited for axle structures of trailers and steel wheels. In commercial vehicle construction they are used in lifting and working platforms.
