Did you know...?
... that we are launching one of the world's largest industrial climate protection projects for decarbonization with the construction of the first direct reduction plant?
... that operating thyssenkrupp Steel's first direct reduction plant exclusively with green hydrogen alone would require green electricity from 800 wind turbines? On top of that, there is the electricity requirement of the two smelters.
...that thyssenkrupp Steel is playing a decisive role in the Europe-wide hydrogen supply? As the engine of the hydrogen economy, Europe's largest integrated steel mill will help drive the rapid and ambitious hydrogen ramp-up in North Rhine-Westphalia and also in neighboring European countries.
