Georgios Giovanakis – Head of CSO (Chief Sales Officer)

Career

As a member of the extended Executive Board, Georgios Giovanakis has been responsible for sales within the CEO's remit since January 1, 2026.

Prior to that, he served as Senior Vice President Sales at thyssenkrupp Steel from April 1, 2025. Prior to that, he was CEO at thyssenkrupp Electrical Steel between 2019 and 2025. Georgios Giovanakis has more than 25 years of professional experience in the manufacturing industry and commercial vehicle business and has served as an international manager in Germany, Italy, and China as a member of the executive board. This included positions as CFO Undercarriages/Berco, CFO Acciai Speciali Terni, CFO/CEO Shanghai Krupp Stainless, and CFO/CEO Terninox SpA.

Georgios Giovanakis, born in 1964, holds a degree in business administration and studied at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences.
