Dr. Marie Jaroni – Chief Transformation Officer (CTO)
Career
Dr.-Ing. Marie Jaroni joined the Executive Board of thyssenkrupp Steel Europe AG as Chief Transformation Officer on October 1, 2024. Her responsibilities will include the strategic development and performance-oriented management of the company, as well as the departments Communications & Sustainability and Government & Regulatory Affairs. She will also be responsible for Logistics Services.
Jaroni has been working for thyssenkrupp Steel in various functions since 2020: After her first position as Head of Strategy & Communication, she took over as Head of Decarbonization and Sustainability in June 2021 and was thus in a leading position responsible for implementing the transformation to climate-neutral steel production. In June 2024, she transferred to thyssenkrupp AG as Executive Vice President Steel.
In 2017, Marie Jaroni began her career within the thyssenkrupp Group as Head of Corporate Strategy and then later as Head of Transformation at Industrial Solutions. Previously, she worked as a management consultant for McKinsey & Company for several years.
Jaroni, born in 1984, studied Metallurgy and Materials Engineering at RWTH Aachen University, where she also completed her postgraduate degree with a focus on the supply of raw materials in Europe.
