Dr. Marie Jaroni – Chief Sales Officer and Chief Transformation Officer (CSO & CTO)

Career

Dr.-Ing. Marie Jaroni has been a member of the Executive Board of thyssenkrupp Steel Europe AG since October 1, 2024. Her responsibilities include overall sales management, quality, innovation and research. Jaroni is also responsible for the company's holistic and performance-oriented transformation. Her portfolio is complemented by Communications & Sustainability, as well as Government & Regulatory Affairs. Jaroni's responsibilities also include the subsidiary Rasselstein (Packaging Steel).

Jaroni has been working for thyssenkrupp Steel in various functions since 2020: After her first position as Head of Strategy & Communication, she took over as Head of Decarbonization and Sustainability in June 2021 and was thus in a leading position responsible for implementing the transformation to climate-neutral steel production. In June 2024, she transferred to thyssenkrupp AG as Executive Vice President Steel.

In 2017, Marie Jaroni began her career within the thyssenkrupp Group as Head of Corporate Strategy and then later as Head of Transformation at Industrial Solutions. Previously, she worked as a management consultant for McKinsey & Company for several years.

Jaroni, born in 1984, studied Metallurgy and Materials Engineering at RWTH Aachen University, where she also completed her postgraduate degree with a focus on the supply of raw materials in Europe.
