Our sites

Duisburg

Bird's-eye view of the Duisburg site

Duisburg is not only home to thyssenkrupp Steel's headquarters, the city is also our biggest production location with five different sites. Our integrated iron and steel mill carries out every step of the steelmaking process, and our blast furnaces and melt shops are also located here. That opens up a wide range of options for applicants interested in working in the steel industry.

Bochum

Bird's-eye view of the Bochum site

The Bochum site houses one of our biggest hot strip mills. With its high drive power and coilbox, the wide hot strip mill is particularly suitable for rolling. In addition, hot-rolled from Duisburg is processed to non-oriented electrical steel at the Bochum site.

Dortmund

Bird's-eye view of the Dortmund site

Our Dortmund site has a state-of-the-art cold rolling mill with additional continuous annealer and coating lines, such as hot-dip coating line 8.

Finnentrop

Finnentrop site

The Finnentrop plant in the Sauerland region is our smallest German production site with a long tradition of surface coating. The centerpiece is one of thyssenkrupp's most advanced hot-dip coating lines, which can be used to produce both hot-dip galvanized and hot-dip aluminized products. The site also houses a narrow strip galvanizing line for strip widths up to 200 mm.

Siegerland

Kreuztal site

Our two plants in Kreuztal-Eichen and Kreuztal-Ferndorf are equipped with modern hot-dip and coil coating lines. Here, the delivered cold-rolled strip or pickled hot-rolled strip is surface-coated.
