To make you feel at home right from the start, we have compiled the most important information for you: from creating an appealing application to the process itself and valuable tips for a successful interview. Our goal is to ensure that you are well prepared—and that nothing stands in the way of your career start with us.

Tips for applying

We know that applying for a job can be quite challenging. That's why we want to give you the best possible support!

Here you will find answers to the questions we are asked most frequently.

Have you compiled all the documents completely?

A good application usually includes:

  • Cover letter
  • Resume
  • All job-related references and certificates

Do you convey a clear impression of yourself and your motivation in your cover letter?

Use the cover letter to briefly and concisely show who you are and why you are applying. Refer specifically to the company and the advertised position – avoid general, run-of-the-mill phrases.

What position are you applying for?

Why are you interested in this position?

What do you expect from your new job?

Why are you particularly suited for this position?

Is your resume up to date and clearly laid out?

Organize your resume in tabular form.

Start with your most recent job.

Do you design your documents professionally and clearly?

Check the texts carefully for wording and spelling errors.

Ensure a clear structure and good readability, including paragraphs, appropriate line spacing, and easily readable font sizes.

When applying online, only attach files that can be opened on any standard computer. Ideally, you should convert all Word documents into unencrypted PDF documents that are no larger than 5 MB before sending them.

Do you spark interest in yourself?

Emphasize your strengths and show why you are a good fit for the position and the company.

Tips for the job interview

Have you been invited to a job interview? Congratulations! Here are a few tips to help everything go smoothly.

Do you know the company you applied to?

Find out about the company, its products, values, and current developments – this shows interest and preparation.

Do you know the apprenticeship you applied for?

Find out about the relevant profession in advance, for example by reading our flyers on the homepage.

Can you imagine yourself well?

Practice explaining briefly and clearly who you are, what you have done so far, and why you are interested in this training program.

Have you prepared yourself for typical questions?

Why this profession? What are your strengths? What motivates you? – Think about honest and appropriate answers.

Do you know how you should behave?

Make sure you are well dressed, friendly, and punctual—first impressions count!

Quick fact check

Our training programs and dual study programs usually start on the Monday of the last week of the summer vacation (Rhineland-Palatinate).

You can apply at any time via our website; there is no application deadline! Ideally, apply one year before the start of the training program.

We only accept online applications. Once you have found the right position, click on “Apply now” in the top right-hand corner of the job advertisement. There you can conveniently upload all relevant application documents.
