On Friday, October 24, 2025, at around 10:15 p.m., a fire broke out at thyssenkrupp Steel in Duisburg in the hot strip mill in the Bruckhausen plant area. The fire is now under control. The professional fire department is leaving the scene. The thyssenkrupp Steel plant fire department remains on site.
The Nina warning app has issued an all-clear.
No one was injured in the incident.
The emergency response organization functioned quickly and effectively.
