Are there fixed start dates?

Recruitment at thyssenkrupp Steel is generally demand-driven. Therefore, there are no fixed entry and application dates for the trainee program. It is therefore possible to join the program on the 1st of any month.

How long does the trainee program take?

The trainee program lasts 12 months.

What fields of study have the best chances?

We are primarily looking for engineering graduates, but in some cases we are also looking for junior staff in other disciplines. So it's always worth taking a look at our job board!

What is the right route for me – trainee program or direct entry?

They are simply two different forms of entry. Which form of entry is better and is ultimately chosen depends on various factors. Whether you have completed a trainee program or joined us via direct entry does not determine what career prospects you will have afterwards. The more typical entry point at thyssenkrupp Steel for young graduates is the trainee program.

What development opportunities will I have after the trainee program?

We focus on your talent and skills. That's why thyssenkrupp Steel offers you a wide range of opportunities after your trainee program to fully exploit your own potential. We will support you with theme-oriented seminars and individual personnel development. Depending on your commitment, there are many opportunities open to you for your personal path with us.

Will I receive a permanent contract after completing the trainee program?

Our trainees are the managers of tomorrow! That's why all trainees are offered a permanent position from the start of the program. If the trainee program is satisfactory for both sides, the aim is always to offer the trainee a permanent position.
