Privacy policy

The content of the Packaging Steel App is provided centrally by thyssenkrupp Rasselstein GmbH, so that users can receive non-binding information regarding the product range of thyssenkrupp Rasselstein GmbH. The handling of personal visitor data on the website is in line with the strict requirements of the basic EU data protection regulation.

Protecting your privacy when using our app is of particular concern to us. Therefore, we would like to inform you about the collection of personal data.

2. Which data are processed?

As a matter of principle, you can use the app of thyssenkrupp Rasselstein GmbH anonymously, i.e. without revealing to us who you are. In this case, no personal data will be stored.

If you use the access-secured area, we will store your contact details (first name, last name and e-mail address) and your organization data. If you record voice messages, photos and videos in our complaints module or upload them to the app, they will also be stored.

3. For what purpose do we process your data (purpose of the processing) and on what legal basis?

If you use the access-secured area, we process your data to provide you with additional news about our product rasselstein® packaging steel on the one hand. On the other hand, if you use our complaint tool, you can enter a complaint or remark and get in contact with our experts. We therefore process all entered data for the purpose of processing your complaint or remark.

The legal basis is (GDPR Article 6 (1) (b)) for the fulfillment of contractual obligations.

4. Matomo

We use “Matomo” (formerly “PIWIK”) for statistical analyses. Matomo is an open source tool for web analytics. Matomo does not transmit any data to servers that are outside the control of thyssenkrupp Rasselstein GmbH. User behavior is recorded anonymously.

5. Use of OneSignal for push notifications

The app uses a service provided by OneSignal to send push notifications with news information to Android and iOS devices if you give your consent. By using the Android and iOS app and agreeing to receive push notifications, certain information will be passed on to OneSignal. OneSignal’s privacy policy can be found here: https://onesignal.com/privacy_policy.

You can revoke data collection by OneSignal by deactivating push notification authorization on your iOS or Android device, deleting the app, or using the OneSignal contact form.

6. How long are my data stored?

Your personal data are stored for as long as they are required for the purposes referred to in Clause 3.

If you do not use the login for one year, we will automatically delete your user account.

If you do not want to use the login data (any longer), please send a short message to [email protected]. In this case, we will delete your user account immediately.

7. What data protection rights do I have?

Every data subject shall have the right to access pursuant to GDPR Article 15, the right to rectification pursuant to GDPR Article 16, the right to erasure pursuant to GDPR Article 17 as well as the right to restriction of processing pursuant to GDPR Article 18. There is also a right to revoke pursuant to GDPR Article 7 (3) and if the data processing is based on a general balance of interests – there is a right to object pursuant to GDPR Article 21.

Of course, on request, we will provide you with written information on which of your personal data we have stored or if any data has been stored at all. In addition, you can revoke your consent to storing your personal data at any time by sending a short message to

You also have the opportunity to direct your complaint on data protection and privacy matters to the data protection officer named under Clause 1.

In addition there is also a right to lodge a complaint with a data supervisory authority (GDPR Article 77 in combination with BDSG Section 19). The competent data protection supervisory authority for us is:

Information about your right to object pursuant to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Article 21

Case-by-case right to object

You have the right on grounds relating to your particular situation to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you which takes place on the basis of GDPR Article 6 (1) (e) (data processing in the public interest) and GDPR Article 6 (1) (f) (data processing on the basis of a balance of interests).

In the event of your objection, we shall no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal.
