Career
Dirk Schulte has been Labor Director and Chief Human Resources Officer of thyssenkrupp Steel Europe AG since January 1, 2025. He is responsible for Human Resources Management and the Leadership and Labor Relations departments. Schulte also heads the Legal & Compliance and Safety & Security departments.
Previously, he was a member of the Executive Board and Labor Director at enercity AG. There he made a significant contribution to the transformation of the company's working environment.
From February 2015 to December 2021, he was Board Member for Human Resources and Social Affairs at Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG), Germany's largest municipal transport company. Prior to this, Schulte held various positions at Salzgitter AG, including Chief Human Resources Officer at Salzgitter Stahl GmbH and Managing Director at several subsidiaries.
He began his professional career in 1996 as a project manager at Westdeutsche Landesbank (WestLB), followed by positions at Deutsche Telekom and the personnel service provider Vivento.
Dirk Schulte, born in 1964, is a trained power plant electronics technician and studied economics at the Hamburg University of Economics and Politics, graduating with a degree in economics.
