Application tips – for the perfect first impression

Make sure your application documents are complete

A proper application usually includes:

  • Cover letter
  • Résumé
  • All relevant certificates

In your cover letter, tell us a little about yourself and why you are applying:

What job are you applying for?

Why does this job interest you?

What expectations do you have of your new job?

What makes you the right person for this position?

Include an up-to-date résumé

Format your résumé as a table

Start with your most recent position

Adhere to accepted standards

Check your texts carefully for grammar and spelling mistakes.

Clearly structure your application and make sure it’s easy to read by using paragraphs, appropriate line spacing and easily legible font sizes.

For online applications, only attach files that can be opened on standard computers. Before sending your application, you should ideally convert all Word documents into unencrypted PDF files no larger than 5 MB.

Show yourself in a good light

List relevant hobbies and personal interests in your résumé.

Write your cover letter in a way that makes us want to learn more about you.

Tell us why it would be worthwhile for us to employ you.

Provide us with some connecting points we can explore more fully in an interview.
