Dennis Grimm – Spokesman of the Executive Board and Chief Operating Officer (SEB & COO)

Career
Dennis Grimm has been a member of the Executive Board of thyssenkrupp Steel Europe AG since July 1, 2024, and Spokesman of the Executive Board since August 30, 2024. Grimm is responsible for all operational matters and technological management as well as the strategic development of the company. His responsibilities include Upstream Operations, Downstream Operations, Technology, Environment & Maintenance, Strategic Business Development, and Logistics. Grimm is also responsible for the subsidiary thyssenkrupp Hohenlimburg (Precision Steel) and the 50% stake in Hüttenwerke Krupp Mannesmann, as well as the companies EECV, thyssenkrupp Veerhaven, and thyssenkrupp Steel Logistics.
Dennis Grimm began his professional career in 2004 at thyssenkrupp Steel Europe AG as a plant engineer in BOF meltshop 2. 2009 saw him hold various management roles at thyssenkrupp CSA Siderúrgica do Atlantico, and in February 2012 he became Head of Performance Projects and Controlling Industrials at thyssenkrupp AG. In 2015, he joined the management of Uhde High Pressure Technologies GmbH, first as CFO and a year later as CEO. In 2019, he took over at the helm of Hüttenwerke Krupp Mannesmann (HKM) GmbH’s coking plant. In September 2021, he became Chief Technical Officer of HKM, with responsibilities including the areas of hot metal and steel production, energy, plant engineering, environmental protection, and new construction.
Dennis Grimm, born in 1979, studied mechanical engineering at the University of Duisburg-Essen, majoring in production technology.
