Dennis Grimm – Spokesman of the Executive Board

Career

Dennis Grimm has been a member of the Executive Board of thyssenkrupp Steel Europe AG since July 1, 2024. As of August 30, 2024, he has taken on the role of Spokesman of the Executive Board, assuming full operational responsibility as well as technological management and development of the company. Additionally, he oversees the technological implementation of the green transformation, the Upstream and Downstream areas, DRA implementation, Legal, Technical & Environmental Management, and Technical Services & Energy. His remit also includes the 50-percent holding in Hüttenwerke Krupp Mannesmann.

In addition to these duties, he is responsible for the entire sales division, including Sales Automotive, Sales Industry, and the subsidiary companies, as well as the Competence Center Metallurgy, Innovation, Quality Improvement & Steering, and Corporate Planning & Sales Steering.

Dennis Grimm began his professional career in 2004 at thyssenkrupp Steel Europe AG as a plant engineer in BOF meltshop 2. 2009 saw him hold various management roles at thyssenkrupp CSA Siderúrgica do Atlantico, and in February 2012 he became Head of Performance Projects and Controlling Industrials at thyssenkrupp AG. In 2015, he joined the management of Uhde High Pressure Technologies GmbH, first as CFO and a year later as CEO. In 2019, he took over at the helm of Hüttenwerke Krupp Mannesmann (HKM) GmbH’s coking plant. In September 2021, he became Chief Technical Officer of HKM, with responsibilities including the areas of hot metal and steel production, energy, plant engineering, environmental protection, and new construction.

Dennis Grimm, born in 1979, studied mechanical engineering at the University of Duisburg-Essen, majoring in production technology.
